We are getting married
The story of our engagement
Shalina and Yoshua met at the end of 2019 and from the first date they became inseparable. The first two years were different; a pandemic that no one would have ever imagined tested these two lovers. At the beginning of the third year, Yoshua started planning the marriage proposal. Shalina would put Yoshua's creativity to test, as he had to find a proposal that would be difficult to suspect and he found no better idea than through soccer, one of the now fiancé's passions and a sport almost unknown to the bride.
2022 was the year of the World Cup and the perfect opportunity to put together a plan. Convincing Shalina to travel to Qatar was much more difficult than one could have imagined. A stop in Paris opened up the possibility of executing the idea that had long been thought of. On the evening of November 14, 2022, while the bride and groom were walking on Rue de l'Abreuvoir, a charming street in Montmartre, they were approached by a mysterious gentleman in a black hat who offered them a poem in exchange for a few coins. Shalina did not show much interest in the offer, but after thinking about it for a few seconds, Yoshua wanted to take advantage of the occasion and accepted the poem from that reserved gentleman. What Shalina did not know was that the poem was, in reality, a piece of paper that would change the course of their paths. It was at that moment when Yoshua knelt down and read what would be the proposal with which they would seal a chapter of their story and the beginning of a life together
